During this time, our service to customers and the community remains an important one. It is vital that we keep you informed of changes to our operations in order to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

1 | Can I place an order for your Student Storage service? 

Yes, and we continue to serve domestic and international students the best we can with current staffing levels. For an update on the delivery or collection, please call us on 0161 877 1260 or email us at info@manchesterselfstorage.co.uk.

2 | Are delivery and collection times affected? 

During the Coronavirus pandemic we are taking vital steps to help stop and minimise the spread of the virus. As a result, certain areas across the North West may be slightly delayed but our staff will update you. Manchester, Salford, Leeds and Sheffield should suffer no delay.

3 | Is it safe to accept a delivery of packing supplies and boxes? 

We are closely following the guidelines from the WHO advising, ‘The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.’

The majority of Student Box Kit, packing supply and box deliveries will be left in a safe or designated place. The designated place is likely to also be the ‘pick-up’ zone.

4 | Will I need to be in contact with the driver when my items are collected?

No. On your collection date, we will advise you up to 60 minutes before we arrive. This will give you plenty of time to bring your boxes and items to the ‘pick-up area’. PLEASE ENSURE ALL YOUR BOXES AND ITEMS HAVE YOUR NAME CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THEM BEFORE WE COLLECT.

5 | Will I need to be in contact with the driver when my items are collected?

6 | What other steps are you taking to minimise the spread?

Before leaving your premises, the driver will ensure all handles, locks and latches on the vehicles have been cleaned with disinfectant. This process in repeated upon collection of items before we take them back to our storage centres.

7 | How do I access my items once in storage?

Access to your items still remains free of charge. However, due to our staff levels across the region, we ask that all customers remain patient. Give us a time and a date and we will try our best to accommodate you. When you are visiting our storage centres, social distancing guidelines must be observed otherwise we may ask you to leave.

8 | Are you able to ship my items and boxes to another city or country?

We continue to work closely with some of the world’s leading courier and shipping companies. We receive updates daily and we will let you know if your destination country is serviceable. Some routes may be subject to delay during this time.
